Start from Hair

Essay, Flyleaf Magazine

A personal essay written in response to the theme of new beginnings, tracing a decade of hairstyle changes as a record of identity, autonomy, and self-discovery. Published in Flyleaf Magazine.

Behind the piece

Every hairstyle change I've made was a choice tied to a specific moment, a way of starting fresh, showing a new face to the world. I believe this is not just my experience. Changing your hair to mark a new beginning is something many of us have in common.
